Autumn Blessings

The Stuff To Scrap designers have made you an amazing kit, Autumn Blessings, to help you scrap all those pictures taken in the fall. This kit is jammed packed with amazing elements and gorgeous papers, not to mention some great templates to help you get your layouts done a little faster. This kit contains: 2 full alphas, 82 elements, 37 papers, 2 12x12 templates (in PSD, TIF, PNG, and PAGE format), and 3 sets of styles!

This month's collaboration is a very special one as all the proceeds from the sale of the kit & quick page set will go to Operation Smile. It is our hope to sell enough kits & quick page sets to pay for at least one operation to fix a child's cleft lip or palate. Included in the downloads is a blinkie for your blog or forum signature so you can show off that you have contributed to this wonderful cause. If you'd like to make a donation to the fund, we've also set up a donation in the store where for $1.00 (you can buy it as many times as you'd like), you'll receive the special blinkie to wear as well. Please help us make a child smile this holiday season!

October is breast cancer month and I participated in a charity collab dedicated to breast cancer. This kit is bursting! Charity Kit: A Gift for Gabe

Over a week ago, a tragic accident took the life of an adorable little 6 year old boy named Gabe.  To help with the hospital and funeral costs, approximately 22 designers came together and designed this huge kit - A Gift for Gabe.  It includes a full alpha set, 68 papers, 104 elements, 3 templates, and 6 word art - all for $7.99.  It's available in the Scraps N' Pieces store.

 

 

 

 

'Brady' Charity Collab

The STS Designers came together to create this charity collab to help bring home a little boy named Brady. Shelby, of Jenasis Design, is friends with the family that is trying to adopt this precious little boy. Below the previews of the kit, you will find information that Shelby has posted about Brady and the family who is trying to share their home with him.

This kit is not just any ordinary kit; it is for an amazing cause and an amazing little guy that needs a family, a home, and someone to love and care for him. The Hartman family, are in the process of adopting the sweet boy below. They feel called to rescue this little boy "Brady" from a mental institution in Eastern Europe. Because he has Downs Syndrome, Brady was abandoned at birth, just like the majority of children with any sort of disabilities in Eastern Europe and other parts of the world. lt is standard procedure when these children turn between 4-6 years old (depending on region) that they are transferred from Orphanages to full blown Mental Institutions. This transfer is very traumatic, and many times these children suffer and sometimes die due to the conditions. Brady has already been transferred and The Hartmans are trying to get to him as quickly as possible. So I told this sweet family that I would ask the girls at "Stuff to Scrap" to Help!! The cost of this adoption is well between $20,000- $30,000 and so we just want to be able to contribute a little toward that huge amount. The amazing designers at "Stuff to Scrap" have put together an awesome collaboration that can be used to donate to this great cause. All proceeds from the sell of *Brady* goes directly to the Hartman's adoption fund.

Rainbow Bridge Charity Collab

In early September, Katina (aka The Scrappy Kat) lost her poodle, Pepe. Pepe was a rescue dog, and Kat enjoyed his loyal, loving companionship for 15 years!

Most of us can relate to losing a pet, and it is especially heartbreaking to lose one who has been a part of our family for such a long time. As we are not all in Kat's neighborhood to give her big hugs, the designers at STS have decided to give her a virtual hug, but creating a special kit called Rainbow Bridge (poem below) to honor not only the adorable, well-loved Pepe, but all the animals we love and lose in our lifetime. We have dogs, cats, horses; we even have lizards, bunnies, and many other kinds of pets in this kit! With a colorful rainbow palette and a ton of papers and elements showcasing all kinds of pets, this kit is perfect for ALL pet owners! All previews are linked to the store.
The best thing about the Rainbow Bridge kit is that ALL proceeds from the kit will be donated to Katina's local Humane Society. You can check out their website here. And here is the lovely poem that inspired this kit:

Just this side of heaven is a place called Rainbow Bridge.

When an animal dies that has been especially close to someone here, that pet goes to Rainbow Bridge. There are meadows and hills for all of our special friends so they can run and play together. There is plenty of food, water and sunshine, and our friends are warm and comfortable.
All the animals who had been ill and old are restored to health and vigor. Those who were hurt or maimed are made whole and strong again, just as we remember them in our dreams of days and times gone by. The animals are happy and content, except for one small thing; they each miss someone very special to them, who had to be left behind.

They all run and play together, but the day comes when one suddenly stops and looks into the distance. His bright eyes are intent. His eager body quivers. Suddenly he begins to run from the group, flying over the green grass, his legs carrying him faster and faster.

You have been spotted, and when you and your special friend finally meet, you cling together in joyous reunion, never to be parted again. The happy kisses rain upon your face; your hands again caress the beloved head, and you look once more into the trusting eyes of your pet, so long gone from your life but never absent from your heart.

Then you cross Rainbow Bridge together....
